My computer monitor freezes very often. There is no problem with the monitor itself, since I have tried replaced with other good monitor and the result is same. I have a integrated AGP.

I have uploaded the picture of frozen screen here.

Please have a look on it.

Following trouble shooting already done and not successful :

1. Swapped with another Power unit.
2. Swapped with another RAM
3. Had a check of motherboard at repair shop to check the condition of components

Please advise

Added more details:

a. The frequency of occurence is not predictable. Some times 10min after booting or 2-3hrs after booting. But one thing I have noticed is if the screen is idle, means then it won't come.

Have you overclocked your pc?

Enter CMOS setup and select Load Fail-Safe defaults. Save and exit.
Next try reducing your AGP Frame Buffer(in BIOS) to a lower setting. If this is more than 64 reduce it to 64.

(Please mention the model of your motherboard.)

Hi there, by the look of the screenshot you provided, I'm 100% sure that your AGP is defective. Integrated AGP's are on board, so u cannot really isolate it to test its real condition or behavior. In technical terms, you are experiencing a PICTURE ERROR problem and the best suggestion I can give you is to see your nearest laptop service center. They have a special machine intended to replace components like these AGP's.
Hope this can help...

After looking at your picture, I deffently beleave that it is a defective video chipset. If you insert another video card your system will use the PCI/AGP card you installed as the primary.

It could be your refresh rate or Graphic card resolution set not properly.

See if your Graphic Card pins are not bent or one of them broken, Monitor main cathode pot might be loose, there are several reason for this. Could be tube on blink soon.
