Not during the game, but yes. Without getting too technical, rugby shorts are very short and loose, so during warm-up or whatever, you take one knee, which gives you a nice path between your plant leg and the shorts.

Back in the days that rugby players did not leave the pitch, even at half time, when you have to go, you have to go. A player at my team was caught on camera urinating on the pitch, during the game :P

I have never seen anyone urinate on the actual pitch. That doesn't mean it doesn't happen. I have seen some go off into the corner and kneel down, and go. I call this praying, because of the way they are kneeling, and some guys go behind cars, and some actually go to the bathroom when it is unlocked. So, I've never seen it actually on the pitch, but several times at the pitch

There is tadision at some clubs to do so at the corner of a pitch the night before, but never during a game

i doubt it, they don't seem all to smart with all teh grunting noises they make, but i do belief they're smart enough not to urinate on the picth ;)
