THE TEXAS PANHANDLE! We have four actual seasons up here, beautiful terrain, Palo Duro Canyon (the Grand Canyon of Texas), historical sites such as Adobe Walls and many others, AQHA headquarters, wide open spaces, rolling prairies, friendly people, wonderfully dry climate, ranches, great schools and universities. Amarillo has a gazillion restaurants and a good economy. Jobs are plentiful. Also, you're only a few hours from NM and Colorado and the mountains.

We also have the world's most beautiful sunsets and sunrises. And contrary to the opinions of some, it is NOT flat...just OPEN. So if you crave lots and lots of trees, you won't like the Panhandle. You would have to live in Amarillo for those.

I've lived all over this state and the Panhandle area is the best. I would never live in any state but Texas. I've been here all my life.

I was born in Alabama and I still have family in Bama, Georgia, and Florida, but I never really fitted in with the Southern culture. I've lived here in Minnesota for about a decade and I'm more used to it here, than I've ever been down South. But enough about me!--To answer the question, I love visiting Georgia and Florida, but wouldn't neccessarily want to live there. First chance I get, I'm aiming for California.
