the referee was the worst ref i saw. Sum dude was basically hugging vaduka while vauka was trying to get to the ball, and nothing was called. Also sum dude punched the ball, and no hand ball penalty was called. Also a person ended up getting 3 yellow cards! how stupid. where do they learn to ref anyway? croatia played quiet rough as well. one of the goals would have bin easily saved if it were not for the over acting on saving the ball, and hitting the ref and bouncing in. but it was a pretty extravagent game and atleast australia made it through.

It was probably the most exciting game in the World Cup so far, and congrats to the Aussies and as for Croatia - well done, great fight, but it's not your time yet.
I agree with most comments posted here - no point head-kicking the ref once the game is all over. Sure 3 penalties would have changed the game, but hindsight is a wonderful thing.
I get the feeling that Australia will do well against Italy. In fact, I think Italy's complacency will allow the Socceroos through to the quarters. Sorry Italy... start packing.

There were a two penalties for "kangarooes" but they eaqualed
from offside position.
We didn't deserve too go in next round because of rabbit heart,
and some person don't deserve to carry croatian suit and ashaming all country with theirs behaviors (especially Simunic)
but there are more of them, also coach made big mistakes on very start of game, starting with Tomas and Olic.
You must be big in winn and in the lose.
Football is the unike sport where croatians try to get result without fighting all the time of game, always they want to get some without hard sweating.
Congrats for Aussies and sorry for my red cubs they ashamed us with behaviors.

Well done Australia for getting through to the knock-out phase! Shame it will end there. C'mon- it's ITALY! Still, good luck. As for Croatia- they've never been contenders for the fair play award. Always glad when my team doesn't have to face them, after the way the Croatians mowed them down in the past (and still lost!).

Only saw the "highlights". Not the kind of reputation that football wants. Croatia seemed to get desperate and forget about fair play. Not sorry they're out. Poor ref - he had an Alan Rough kind of a night.

Well, the Aussies got the draw they needed, so what's the point of re-hashing whether the ref should have awarded a couple more penalties?
Good game.
