There are 5 (I'm talking about girls)
Here's a great web site.

The second site is for kids all about puberty.

The stages for puberty are Tanner 1-5. That means, physical changes including rapid increases in height and weight (often referred to as spurts), the development of breasts, and pubic and underarm hair.

The onset age for puberty varies from person to person and tends to be different in different ethnic groups; for instance, caucasian girls may begin puberty at anywhere from 8 and 14 and African American girls may start as early as age 7.

You an see the Tanner chart here: http://www.coolnurse.com/puberty_stages.htm

Hope that helps.

Puberty can start at nearly any age, as early as 9, as late as 17.., usually! Okay, what's going to happen: breast will begin to form, hair will grow, maybe one or two at first, under arms and pubic area, hips will widen, period will start, and many other glorious changes.. don't worry about being later or earlier than your friends in starting your period, though, ok? Ask your mom what her experience was and yours will mimic hers more than anyone else's...; certainly more than your friend!
Good luck and, really, it's all natural! BTW: 10 is NOT a late bloomer! geez,, you girls!
