I know this is weird, but it seems like it was a sci-fi western series about a cowboy who gets captured by a ufo or something, and there was also a vampire involved in it somehow. I just have very vague memories of there being some sort of green monkey and one episode they rolled out a gattling cannon, and I remember the cowboy hero falling off a cliff. I know this sounds very strange, but I do recall seeing this show as a young kid. My wife thinks it was all a weird dream. Please help if you remember this show.

I swear I wasn't on drugs of any kind, and it wasn't Wild Wild West.

It sounds like you are remembering the television show "Cliffhangers" on NBC in 1979. It was an attempt to capture the genre of the old time movie serials (seeing each week small chapters of several different stories rather than hours of a single movie) in a modern TV format. Essentially, the show consisted of three different storylines: "Stop Susan Williams", "The Curse of Dracula", and "The Secret Empire". The latter two I thought were well done (at least being a kid at the time), the other I hardly remember. Michael Nouri was a wonderful Dracula (especially for TV in the 70s). That serial was reused and re-edited into three different TV movies (a practice of the time). "The Secret Empire" attempted to weld the cowboy and space adventure genres together, based on the premise of an old Gene Autry movie. My best friend and I remember the show and wish we could watch it today (especially the concluding chapters we missed when the show was cancelled). You can read more at the links I've included under Sources, below (based on a Yahoo search for the words Cliffhangers and Dracula). I guess if anyone is owed dinner, your wife is paying. 8)

I was a total TV kid at the time. You were obviously high, or drank spoiled milk. It is like you are mixing up McCloud, with the short-lived series Blue book, and giving it a twist of Night gallery. Take your wife to dinner, and apologize for telling her your disturbing dreams.
