D-Con Mouse Pruf works wonders. I had an office that was overrun with mice. I put out 4 packages of Mouse Pruf. This is a bait that comes in a small yellow box. The next day one box was almost empty. Mice seem to love this stuff.
After putting out the bait, I have not seen a mouse in two years there!

There are several ways!
Guess you don't want to add a new cat or snake to the family, so that leaves two more choices.
The old fashion trap works. Remove dead body in the morning.
If you aren't into removing little dead bodies, Decon rat/mice poison will do the job. In an oversimplified explanation... they dehydrate, no moisture no smell.
Mom had to do this when I was living at home, and my baby brother took the lid off my mouse cage... 15 little white mice escaped and 5 were expecting little ones. With in weeks the house was being over ran with mice.
Most of my mice died (I caught a few in time), however my kid brother survive. ;-)

you ought to purchase humane traps in maximum great DIY shops. Use Milky way as a bait as its sticky and the mouse will ought to flow good into the catch to eat it. The door will close and the mouse would be wisely caught. positioned the catch alongside the skirting board interior the room the place the mouse is often considered, conserving the hollow alongside the skirting and not dealing with into the room. verify it oftentimes - if the door is closed, the mouse must be interior. in case you could face it, positioned it in a bag or container with airholes andcontinual approximately 5 miles from the domicile formerly freeing it - mice have a house variety of as much as 4 miles so which you ought to be particular the mouse doesnt come back. positioned teabags around the suspected front hollow on your domicile - mice dont like the scent of teabags or mothballs.

First, get at the source.
You will find garage door insulation is worn out. Replace it. Mice come from outside, thru the small worn out insulation and in thru your garden hose water faucet pipe outlet and then into your kitchen. Yes, the thick insulation that seals against the floor when the door is closed is the one I am talking about.
Then, look for any holes such as gas supply pipline inlet. Plug it with steel wool. Mice does not need any hole bigger than your middle finger to get in. They squiggle their way in. So careful inspection around your home is a must to get rid of this pest.
Now, after this thorough work, use any one of the mouse catchers available in your hardware stores.
This is how I got rid of mice in our home even though I pride myself to be very hygienic, neat and clean.
It has been 5 years, no mice prob...!
No cats, no snakes, no dancing around the corner streets (funny though) or whisting in the wind....!!!

those sticky pads from walmart work really well around here. You dont have to put food on them though. It seems to attract them around here without any food.
the next action you want to take is get you some Steel Wool. Usually mice come from outside. If you can find some holes around your porches or foundation around the house, cram that steel wool in the holes. ( But wear gloves..it will harm your hands) Mice will try to eat through it, and it will kill them in their homes.
It works pretty well around here. I havent seen any mice in a long time. Now if I could get rid of the spiders..I would be a happy camper...lol Best of luck to ya.

Glue pads with peanut butter are highly effective, but then you have to have somewhere to go with the mice. I read somewhere that they dislike the smell of peppermint oil, and if you leave a cottonball filled with it where they frequent, they will leave.

First, bathe the mice b4 u kill them....lol, just kidding, seriously, I've used peppermint leaves, they hate the oil, so I planted them around the house, and I've picked some leaves and bunched them up and put them around the house where the mice would enter and it worked. Happy mouse hunting!!

I heard dancing around the village with a flute might work. Watch out for stray children. Or maybe a cat.

Get a cat. A cat that is afraid of dogs.
Chances are, the cat will vent its ire in rats, and mice.
