believe it or not, balls respond to your body temperature and outside weather. cheers!

The scrotum [ball bag] is very flexible and constricts and expands depending on how hot the external temperature is. The testis [balls] aren't like any other part of the human body and they need to be kept pretty cool. Actually they need to be kept at a perfect temperature so as they are cool enough to keep the sperm refrigerated but warm enough for the testis to be at optimum heat to produce the sperm.

Yep I agree with above it's to maintain a certain temp to keep the little guys they hold healthy. Your balls will often shrink up when stimulated too.
