Make everything a learning experience. Lots of reading and writing and teaching at home. It cannot all be accomplished at school. In fact, if you are a teacher you should know very little education actually happens at school now. And, based on all of your questions, I find it hard to believe you are a teacher. And, it is time to end the fluffy, touchy-feely stuff. Teach your child discipline, respect, and dedication to studies. Shut off the TV and open the books. Work first, play later. There should be at least 2-3 hours a day of direct instruction at home.

Don't over stress him, that would only lead to frustration and pushing him away from you. Make things fun and interesting and give lots of love and support. Gentle encouragement is good. Also you can learn a lot over the internet. Being a teacher and a mom you already have the building blocks it takes to succeed.

Just nurture his abilities; if you are a teacher you know that some kids are good at certain things just because of how their brain developed, so take those abilities and nurture them as much as possible and I guarantee you that as long as you are not suppressing anything the child will develop in all areas as well

Be sure to listen to him when he expresses himself, encourage him when he has done well, encourage him to do better when he lacks the desire to do so, try to answer his questions, keep a good dictionary at hand, encourage him to use the computer for knowledge well as for games, be creative make sure he eats well and get his rest, pray with, and for him, let him know that you love him and want him to be the best he can be.

If you are a teacher then you should know. Encourage him to do anything he wants to do, and support him in every decision that you think is right. If you dont think its right then help him see your point of view. And do your best to give him the tools he needs to succeed in his endeavors. He will need all of your support and even if he messes up he will go straight to you even if he ignored your protests not to do it in the first place. Dont push him away, and dont scold. He knows he's wrong, thats why he came to you in the first place

If you are a teacher then you should know what is to be done, Suppliment his learning, introduce new ideas frequently and see what he picks up on, and keep track of his progress in school and at home so you can evaluate what needs to be worked on, and what deserves a night at chukee cheeses :)

u dont need to send him to best school to be the best, Im a ph.d student but i always studied in poor sick college ,and last raw all the time but i was curious to know things i was attentive in the class ....cause my parents told me that we arent rich enough to get me a job so i was allways got gud advise from mother n father and they taught me to be independent showed gud examples to me .I think u need to be little strict with ur children and teach lead them and guide them, since u are also a teacher u can also help them in ur free time in studies ,but as they grow old look for them put them in some professional cources so that they get gud jobs and become indipendent ...ur advise and suggestions make a big diference to ur children ,they get very easily influnced, so if u teach them gud they will be gud , childrens learn lots of things from their environment where they grow ,u can get them interesting books or audio tapes of language or what ever to give them engaged with information ...go ahed .....Now a days all the schools and colleges are money minded they make business
