yes goto preferences option..then in ignore list :add tht person's id

well.. first of all I'm sure all of you who have previously answered didn't understand the question... sounds like he/she wants to limit access to Yahoo Messenger for certain people living with him..... one way to do this would be to start using multiple user logins... if you are using windows xp then that would be easy and it would solve your problem... just create a password protect account that is has all the administrator rights and then for every one else just create a limited account... but make sure you uninstall yahoo first then create the accounts... then make sure when you install yahoo to choose (admin access only) this will only allow you to use yahoo and when someone tries to install something on their "lI'mited" account they will not be able to... they wont even be able to delete anything or uninstall anything that was already installed by the administrator.

im sure there are many other ways to get the same results.... .. and i sure hope i understood your question correctly...

a firewall like norton firewall can block the servises of messenegr but in this case no one will be able to access it unless u unblock tyhe services from firewall

It is very easy left click the concern user u will get some option in that one of them block permanantly
