The kluxers are still around and mostly in the mid-West as someone pointed out. They were not started by President Woodrow Wilson in 1918 like some idiot stated. They were founded during the Reconstruction Era after the War Between the States as a sort of neighborhood watch against the federal troops that were used as police in Southern cities. Fromer CSA General Bufford Forrest was its first real leader and is credited for the shift towards a racist organization aimed at prevention inclusion of blacks in Southern society.
Now, they're more aligned with the Nazi Party of America (neo-nazi skinhead group) as well as several other white supremist groups hiding out in the northwest such as the Aryan Nation.
How do you deal with them? You ignore them. If you pay them any attention, you attract media and a passionate response from minority groups. When these groups start throwing rocks at them while they're protesting, they are getting exactly what they want. Ready to get offended? When the KKK calls blacks "animals" and the counter-protestors are firing weapons, throwing rocks, and causing a riot in the middle of America, what do you think people who don't know any better are thinking? All the while the KKK, in their hoods, are standing there- quite, demure, and with nothing but joy on their faces as the riots build around them. They get EXACTLY what they want.
So ignore them. And yes I knew one guy (he was the only guy in his chapter).
The "black Kluxers" are usually hoaxs. However, the KKK does not check membership all the time. Google for a news story about a black police officer from Utah who joined the KKK, it is an interesting story.

Yes they do but inmuch smaller numbers and much less power and criminal activities. I've been assigned to several rallies or protests by minorities in Dallas where groups have shown up in counter protest. The major threat to day are underground organizations such as the Arian Nation and other groups advicating "white power" and anti-goverment startegies. Many police officers have been killed by members of these groups who they unkowingly stop for traffic violations and are suddenly ambushed when both the driver and passenger exit abruptly with miltary grade weapons which easily pierce body armor. Timothy Mcveigh, convicted in the Oklahoma City bombing was linked to the Arion Nation. The FBI has large task forces assigned soley to these groups, but because of massive acres of secluded land they own and operate from are hard to legally gain access to. Some agents have infiltrated these groups posing as new recruits and have provided much, eye opening information provided in classified intelligence reports to law enforcement agencies. Unfortunately, the 911 incident has caused redeployment and higher priorites which have drastically reduced intelligence operations. But the do exist, in very large numbers with an anti-goverment and superior race agenda using any tactics available. Fortuneatly, many plans have been thwarted thanks to undercover operations of federal agents.

Yes it does.. I came across their website the other day. Funny how at this day and age there are still people who do not understand the concept of tolerance and sensitivity. I went to Auschwitz concentration camp and I recommend anyone to go and get perspectives on humanity and the need for racial tolerance.. People who are discriminatory are simply ignorant, insecure and looking for someone to blame but themselves..

I think it is KU KLUX KLAN.
It was restarted back in 1918 by president WILSON, believe it or not, and has not died out but has changed a lot and devolved to a mindless hate club of idiots

It still exists. I had a friend who lived down the road from their meeting place and every year when they would march in our town they would go to their little hide out and burn their cross. We could see it from her back yard. I am sick of the finger pointing and whining from the blacks but i do not want to kill one of them or own one of them so no, I am not in the clan. They would not take me anyhow because my dad was jewish. So piss on them.

Unfortunately, yes. Not so much in the South anymore as the West and Midwest, believe it or not. I don't know of anyone who belongs to it, but there are rumors in my town...never actually seen one.
