I thinkt that it's at least normal that it hurts - if a little or a lot differs from person to person and from situation to situation.
But for me, the most important thing is, that it has to be the right person you're with and that you are as relaxed as you can be.
I was very afraid, too - but my partner was so nice and grateful for what I was giving him, that even *if* I was in a lot of pain - and it hurt a lot - I was *proud* that I could give it to him and even enjoyed it because I *wanted* to be with him.
So it hurt - for me, it hurt a lot even though he was very gentle - but the pain didn't really matter to me because what mattered was that we had this special moment of closeness - and that was, what mattered, not the pain, that I knew would go away soon.
And what is physical pain when you love someone for the first time!
Don't be too afraid. Just don't hurry things. Wait for the right boy /man and than, take a lot of time.
Sex can be wonderful even if you are in pain (!)
When it is the right person and when you know that he loves you and that he knows what you are giving to him in this moments.

It depends, like others have said, it varies based on your body and your partner's size. If you relax, go slow, use lubricant (if you need it), and have your partner gently stretch your opening with his fingers first, it might not hurt as bad. If you are really worried about the pain, maybe try a cream that will numb you a little. A company called Pure Romance used to sell a product called booty-ease that had a numbing effect. I'm not sure if it is safe for vaginal application or if it actually works, but you could give it a shot.

The good news is you DON'T have to have sex the first time, just let it stings couple of times and then STOP if you can't take it. The next time there will be NO pain

For alot of girls yes, it also depends on the size of the penis, thickness of the hymen etc. It is different for everyone. Also, be warned that usually the first time is not very good compared to other times after you have had a little experience. If you are worried about this for your first time, also maybe you could try a lubricant to make it a little bit easier.

Depends totally on the physical condition of the girl, generally not for a boy though there are cases when a boys penis can get injured due to sudden tension in the girl's body.

No its not allways painfull for either sex sometimes it can be sometimes its not it depends on to many factors if you are still worried just be sure to have lots of foreplay beforehand and maybe consider some form of lube like KY Jelly as nervousness can cause you to be more dry than normal. just take it slow and gentle and then enjoy.

Yep. Breaking the hymen is painful. AND you'll bleed a little. No worries, it's normal. It won't hurt after that!
