It winds up costing way more than it would to just lock them up for ever.
AND
It's over for them in a minute. where as the rest of their life with a cell mate named Bubba would be much more of a punishment.

Of course i'm not in favor of the death penalty. Those who think that they have the right to take someone else's life must have been hallucinating as if they are "GOD". We all know that it is against the will of our creator, so we might as well obey Him or face the consequences.

Death penalty should be there because there are some crimes so heinous that it would be inhuman to let the culprit get off alive. If someone would have captured Hitler, he should surely have been awarded the death penalty.

Im totally for it. This exposes some of my evil side. We are going to over-populate this planet. Why should we use resources to keep rapists, murderers, and criminals alive and in comfort? I think that the people who are on Death Row should not be long for this world, instead of living for another decade while petition after petition hopelessly clogs the system. People who are serving life sentences should be executed as well. They will never be reformed and allowed to return to contributing to society in a positive way, right? Why should we keep them alive? That, my friend, is cruel and unusual. I dont care if executing criminals deters other criminals. That's not the point.

i'm all for it. y does a person who rapes or kills or molests kids ever need pity??? accidental or circumstancial killing is pardonable. but cold blooded stuff shud b completely unpardonable. when a person's conscience doesn't bother him or her after committing a cold blooded crime....u still think tht's humane.
i'l giv u an example: last yr in a town in India, a guy butchered a high school girl, coz she rejected his advances n supposedly his love. this guy was stalking her n pestered the life outta her.
Imagine this, a brilliant cheerful straight As student, butchered coz she didn't wasn't interested in a guy.
in my opinion such ppl shud be hanged.
some ppl say that we don't have the right to decide whether another human shud live or die....whtevr mayb his crime. then wht bout the person committing the crime? isn't he or she doing the same thng.
when we don't hav fitting punishements for crimes....y do we need the law at all?

for it because the people that should be put to death are parasites to society. lots of them can not be rehabilitated and they are running aroun poisoning society. i mean is it alright for the person who rapes a woman to have more rights over the husband that kills him. why would he go to jail. as u see on dateline nbc with all those sexual predators. what gives these people the right to roam around in society. they should be killed already. they are obviously sick and offer no productiveness to the future of the world. it makes me sick how i see all these people who commit vile acts against others live in a prison where people are paying for them. it is bull. i think that if the capital punishment were more widely spread then there would be LESS crime because people would know what is comming to them if they decided to step out of line. don't u think?

I am for the death penalty. It makes no sense to pay to keep criminals in prision for life. The punishment should fit the crime, if we have no deterrant for crime then you can do whatever with little consequence.
If you want to know the condition of society look at its prisions.

For it. It is meant for murderers, and the punishment should fit the crime. That should go for other crimes too. Child molesters should have their junk cut off. Rapists should be put in jail as currency. And so on.
