nutrionally, there is no difference. There are different breeds of chickens (just like there are different breeds of dogs) and they lay different color eggs based on natural pigments in the chicken's body. There are even blue and green chicken eggs.
Most commercial egg laying chickens are White Leghorn (laying white eggs) and the Rhode Island Red or the New Hampshire chickens (laying brown eggs).
They all taste the same, but the white ones are easier to color at Easter!

Nutritionally they are the same and there is no discernable difference in flavor.

The color difference is due to the specific breed of hen, according to the Egg Nutrition Center. Hens with white feathers and white earlobes will lay white eggs, whereas hens with red feathers and matching-colored earlobes give us brown eggs.

Brown eggs come from chickens who have brown feathers, and white eggs come from chickens who have white feathers.

Nothing! It is only their colour, the hen inherited from her parents. even the size may vary!
