Yes, I've worn a promise ring and never bought my partner one. Only because it would be dangerous wearing one at work.

Yes, I wore a promise ring before I got married. But, we almost broke up over it, because he told me that he let my best friend pick it out instead of me or him. I wasn't thrilled with that.
I have a friend that has a son that will be a senior in high school this year. He gave his girlfriend a promise ring for Christmas. I'd say it's a tradition still going strong.

What's a promise ring? Never heard of it. Has it something to do with making a resolution and keeping the ring for a reminder of that resolution?
