I am having problems signing on to my yahoo messenger it keeps trying to sign in but never does. I just wanted to know if this is a common problem if it is what should i do?

there are two possibilities
either u r behind a firewall that dose not allow u to connect to messenger if yes u cannot be connected to yahoo messenger
or
there is problem with the cookies,check and enable the cookies in internet explorer

All messenger programs have server issues where it boots out connected users and dis-allows new users to connect, for a short period. The periods are usually brief (under 10 mins), but they can be a pain.

yeah messenger is tripping, thats why its beta version right now.

try login with another computer or go to a browsing center and try there. see if its same happing there.
