My husband and I are trying to get pregnant. Sadly, no luck yet and we have been trying for about 7 months. I already know that fooling around TOO much, will minimize our chances, so we have been careful to limit our activity. What other methods could we try, BESIDES going to a clinic for artificial insimination? We don't want to do it that way and end up with a litter!

Keep track of your ovulation days. Have sex on days 10-14 after the first day of your period. Relax and dont try so hard. If all else fails, see a fertility specialist and have his sperm checked for mobility as well as your ovaries. Have him wear boxers instead of briefs if he isnt already. It will happen when you arent thinking about it, so just enjoy each other and sooner or later it will work.

It can take a while. Up to a year is considered normal. Hang in there!

BTW, you don't have to end up with a litter from artificial insemination - it can be done with a natural cycle and can also be carefully tracked so that the cycle is cancelled if there are too many follicles.

you are on the right track for the most part. first thing to do is get both of you checked out by your doctor. low sperm count from wearing briefs, stress, etc. there can be many factors. doing it to much betters the chances, but many couples i have known trying to have a baby both get checked to make sure everything is in order. then you get your ovulation cycle as many women are best at that point in getting pregnant. it only takes one to get pregnant out of millions searching as they refer to. best of luck to you both.

go to http://www.mymonthlycycles.com and put in your period info and it will calculate when you will be fertile and ovulating.

Buy ovulation tests
Take folic acid
Relax and stop worrying
After sex hold your legs up for about 10 minutes (so the sperm will stay inside you longer)
Your man should wear boxers not briefs
Pray

It took me a year to become pregnant....Good luck
