This may be the hardest thing you have to do so far in your life and I wish you the best of luck!

Hopefully in 5 years you will look back and laugh at how scared you were to tell them.

I don't know your family but if I were you, I would take my mother to a neutral location such as a park and go for a walk. Tell her how much you love her and that you would never do anything to hurt her. Tell her that you need to talk to her about something very important to you. Then tell her in a way that's best for the both of you. Give her a few minutes to absorb this new information. Ask her if she has any questions. Tell her that it is nothing that she did or didn't do. Tell her that she is a great mother, and that you were born this way. Tell her that you are still her daughter, still the same loving girl you always were. Hopefully she will come to accept this in time. It may take a while. (She may already know) Either way she may be able to help you tell your father and the rest of your family. In time they will learn to accept you for who you really are, and love you just the same. Best wishes!!

Do you think they already know, honey??? Maybe they do. I'm not sure you should tell them; they will catch on soon enough. Also, you might want to bring your girlfriend to meet your parents. Just tell them she's your room mate. Have a nice lunch together. Later on when room mate is not arround, ask how they liked her. Then tell them how she makes you feel..."I guess you figured out by now I like girls". Then...deal with what will happen. I don't think it's necessary anymore than if you were hetero. You can live your life and just be yourself without throwing it in their faces. It will come to a head sooner or later; but maybe you should just let it go until them. God bless.

well there is always the blunt in your face way of bring the girlfriend home and kissing at the dinner table of you can take what ever parent you feel most compoftable talking to aside and have aheart to heart then have parent number one help tell parent number two. they may get upset, yell, even angry but in the end they will still love you just be sure to tell them it had nothing to do with the way they raised you.

You tell them by telling them the truth. Honesty is the best policy and if they can not deal with the truth that is THEIR problem. You can not go through life living a lie as the truth will eventually come out. Don't compound your problems. Good luck!

Tell the you've got bad news, you've got an incurable brain tumor, then when they start getting upset, say good news, you're not dying, you're just a lesbian.

In a mature fashion....

If you dont think they can handle it, tell someone else you can trust....

Either way, its nothing to get worried about....

i dont know cause i am not.....
my best guess would be to just come out and say it.....
but pick your time....
dont do it at like a funeral or a wedding.....
do it when you can do it privatly with them and no one else....
Good Luck
