Why would it be wrong? There's nothing immoral about sleeping with the TV on (I do about 80% of the time, I need the noise). Your fortunate to have a husband that understands and will tolerate it.

I know that I don't sleep well with the tv/radio on - my thing is having to have a fan on or I can't sleep at all. Everyone is different and some people don't mind the noise. My hubby hated my having to have the fan on all the time - but he did get used to and now he sleeps like a baby. Just talk to your hubby and ask him how he feels - if he says he really does have problems sleeping then try to come to a compromise - like maybe putting the tv on a sleep timer, or by slowing quitting the tv on at night thing. I could see where the noise/light would be bothersome for a good night's sleep.

heh heh...it's the other way around for me. my hubby has to have the tv on to fall asleep. it's wrong (for me) because if you sleep with the tv on, you're wasting electricity; you're not actually resting because of the flickering brightness in the room and you wake up still feeling tired. when i sleep with the tv on, the next day i feel that i never got enough sleep the previous night. what happens now is if i sleep later than my husband, i turn off the tv. if he sleeps later than me, i go to the living room and sleep on the couch.

I don't think it's wrong. I do it too. It does waste electricity. If I wake up and it's off, I can't go back to sleep. If your husband can deal with it, why worry?

it's selfish on your part. Get yourself a radio and some earphones and let the poor hubby get some sleep.

if you know it bothers your husband but he doesn't say anything for your sake, then it would be right for you to meet him half way. maybe use the timer feature on your tv or certain nights just turn it off....for his sake. he puts up with the tv for you, so you can put up with not having the tv on ... for him.

just my opinion.

Guess it depends.
This would be tough on me if my bed partner did this.
I need darkness (no flickering lights) and quiet to sleep well.
