There were many historians at that time...not just the writers of the Bible. Many were Jews who didn't believe that Jesus was Messiah or in anything He said, did, or that happened to Him. One was Jocephus (my spelling may be wrong). Also, do you really think that a band of fishermen, tax collectors, and a physician and a few women could have defeated a Centurion Guard which was set around the tomb, and stolen His body? Cruise the net to find out about Centurion Guards. Their penalty would have been death. What about the darkness at mid-day and the way the Temple Veil (to the Holy of Holies) was torn through? That was thick stuff and it was torn top to bottom. No man did that. Look that up too, on the net. Jesus was who He said He was. All the prophesy concerning the messiah was fulfilled. Nothing was left to chance. Remember Issaia who prophosied years before that "He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities...by His stripes we are healed." How could he have known they would first take Him to Pilate, who would have Him beaten and scourged (Whipped)? There's too much evidence to explain it away as coincidence. Jesus is real! He's real in my heart right this minute!! He is sitting on the right hand of God and He makes intercession for us!!! He lives, and He is coming back soon!!!! When He does, He will take me with Him!!!!! When He comes back, 7 years later, He and the rest of us, will take everyone else OUT!!!!!!! Then He will judge and reward, Satan will be bound and thrown in the pit along with the Antichrist and the False Prophet and we will all sit down to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. I don't know about you, but I WILL be there! Hope we meet.

As far as proof and not faith.

There were many many witnesses that seen Jesus after he was crusified. Several wrote about them in eye witness accounts. Historians that wrote books out side of the Bible like Josephus testifie to seeing Him.

But there is always an excuse. Only the Holy Spirit who testifies of Jesus Christ risen from the dead will convince you. You will always find holes in the facts.

nobody can prove that, certainly not me. If it was proved, it would spoil the whole religion because then it would not take faith to believe it. it would be just another boring miracle of science.
without the whole "faith" in the unproven, factor, it would not be religion.
Science has many proven miracles that nobody is very interested in. Once they are proven, who cares?
Like the fact that living things change to adapt to their environment. this is a miracle. The fact that flower seeds grow to be flowers. it is a miracle, but a slow one. when you see it in speeded up film it is just amazing. the fact that babies are born out of wombs from intercourse is very much amazing and would be hard to believe if it had not been proved so now it seems dull and ordinary. Knowledge robs us of mystery and wonder.
so stop trying to prove the miracle of the rising from the dead story or you will ruin it.
One explanation is that jesus was simply in a self-induced coma that many gurus can do and got cut down before he actually died because they mistakenly thought he was dead and then got revived in the cool cave. mary begged the soldiars to let her have the body so they erred in doing it before they were sure. one little spear thrust is not enough to kill a tuff guru like old JC.
SEE. It spoils the miracle doesn't it? but that is probably what really happened.
in those days they did not have doctors to tell them when a person was truly dead or not. it is hard even today to say when a person is dead or alive. SO....
Jesus did not die. he just passed out and escaped later. Sorry

"Science" is not generally used to prove history, however, here are some facts of which you may not be aware.

Read this link. There is historical proof that a man named Jesus Christ walked the earth and one of his followers was Paul. Paul claimed to be an eyewitness, witnesses were numerous; there were at least five hundred of them. They were not a mere unknown mob: The most of them were still living when Paul wrote, and he could appeal to them to bear testimony to the Corinthians.

There are only three theories which can be possibly stated to account for this fact and others. Either the original disciples of Christ were deceivers and deliberately concocted the story of the Resurrection; or, they were woefully deluded; or the Resurrection was a fact.

As for proving, science is no good. You want to disprove. That's what science does. But either way, finding scientific "proof" (more like data) to back up something that happened 2000 years ago just isn't going to happen. Any site you or anyone else suggests is a bunch of garbage.
All of that aside I believe it happened, but as for proof, and I am a scientist, I know there isn't any. But you can have faith it did happen

What a great question!
I'm not any kind of scientist or anything, but I do read a lot.
There was this guy named Dr. Simon Greenleaf, who was, in his time, one of the world's leading experts in the area of reliability of evidence from a scientific viewpoint. If I remember right, he was of the Jewish religion.
Anyway, he set out to prove scientifically that the resurrection wasn't actually true. So he did this big study, and in the end, became a Christian.
Here's a link, if you want to read more.

can you prove he didnt? of course not. I'm not a religious person but the question is meaningless. and here is why ........

The truth is no more and no less what each individual believes to be the truth until that individual decides to believe otherwise

This holds true for big foot, aliens, loch ness monster, color of grass.

Think about it and have a good day

Well, his body was never found for starters.
Second, I saw in a documentary that shortly after his death and ressurection, a man matching his description and that advocated the same things as he did was seen in Asia (India)

do you have proof that the sky is blue? you see it that way, but maybe something's wrong with you........ that's what it's like believing jesus arose from the dead. I know it's true, but i cant prove it with solid facts. i have faith.

i think that you should consider reading the bible and believing it. i rele dont know what to say except that you should have faith. thats all. i guess..... and ps: belief in God and the word of God in the bible should be proof enough.
