he's a professional swimmer and all the stuff they told him to do has either failed or been to costly. are there any products to remove hair permenently other than waxing, or is waxing the only non-laser electrical procedure? are there less painful products other than wax?

~My cousin should be so lucky. Since he was burned in the fire, he can't grow hair on his chest, his face, or his arms because of the scar tissue. If your boyfriend is really serious, I suggest he try a gallon of gas and a match.

I'm a swimmer myself and I don't really mind breaking out the razor to shave the hair off. It's really not worth it to remove the hair permanently. He needs to SHAVE it.

Let me explain why. When a swimmer removes their hair, their goal is to reduce drag. When you shave, you not only remove the hair, but also a thin layer of skin. It makes the nerves more sensitive, so you feel fast and light in the water. It's a mental effect almost. Waxing or laser treatment won't give you that feeling. He should keep shaving. Swim On!

I hope he doesn't mean the hair around his penis and testies. If he was a real hardcore swimmer he would use a suit that didn't allow water to flow inside of the suit, meaning there would be no need to remove THAT hair.As a swimmer myself, i say just go with the razor, and reshave everytime you shower. I heard Nair is nice.

Wow, I would love it. I wish my man would but I know it is out of the question. I know where I live there is a lot of laser hair removal places. Maybe you can check into that. It is supposed to be painless. Also, there is electrolysis, but that will cost ALOT of money, and time. Let me know what he decides. I have considered having my legs and underarms done.

That is weird. I am a guy, hairy, most girls like a hairy chest. I did swim for school, and I actually do surfing, and I never did consider waxing , etc, that is weird. Is he the kind that does his eyebrows too???
A man that waxes is weird , watch out.

Shave it. Skip the pubic hair, if the water is going through his suit that will cause more resistance than some hair. If he leaves his chest hair on until a race it will help with his training/time.

No such thing as permanently. Your best bet is waxing which will remove the hair for about two-three weeks.
