How can we find IP addresses through URLs?

Yahoo has many ip address. To know the current ip address you are accessing open command prompt by typing cmd in run. Then type

ping yahoo.com in the command prompt. Then you will find the ip address in the braces. The output looks like thse

Pinging yahoo.com [66.94.234.13] with 32 bytes of data:

Inplace of yahoo.com you can type any url to find the ip address

They have many for load balancing purposes for multiple servers.
Click start->Run-> Type cmd in run box and click OK. When the black shell pops up type nslookup www.yahoo.com and you'll see the current IP they are dishing out to you.

Yahoo! has a lot of records for that subdomain.
You can use "dig" to look it up.
Just "dig www.yahoo.com"
