I have this question in mind for long time le. I'm a regular dreamer since i was young, so i believe that having dreams is very common.. Untill i got know a person who told me he hardly dreams! It sounds rediculous and unbelievable! I mean.. Humans should always have dreams.. How to not to dream? Without dreams, does it mean that he sleep very well every night?

Actually, we all dream, it is a natural process of sleeping. Many people can recall their dreams easily, while others either never remember what they dream, or forget them withing a few seconds of waking up. I don't know that there is any relevance to sleep patterns as far as dream remembrance goes. However, it is widely known and reported that certain medications will give you vivid dreams even if you usually cannot recall them.

I am a dreamer too since young.... And many times the dreams that I remembered came to pass. Like you, I was shocked to hear not everyone have dreams like me too... You can dream and still sleep well, but you aren't resting well if you are having nightmares... Take care!

Everyone dreams, the average human has around 3,000 dreams a night. But most of those are clips that happen so fast you'd never remember it. The people who remember their dreams more vividly or even at all do experience more REM time, a deeper more fulfilling sleep.

I think the average is about 4 dreams a night for a person. But if you don't wake up during or very soon after the end of the dream you don't remember it.

I suppose people who often dream may have a very tiring day and they are tired, so when they go to sleep, they may have lots of dreams...but well, i'm not sure, maybe before someone sleeps, they think alot about something so, they got dreams...

Everybody dreams, most dreams last only 15 minutes and then you move onto another one. People who say they don't dream, really just cannot remember what they dreamt about. You're lucky to remember!

I guess people who hardly or don't ever dream are those who really have nothing on their minds at all. I dream when I take 20 minute naps...

I think that people have been putting way to much into this stuff about dreams...

Just let it all go, forget everything and anything about dreams and go to bed.

Night night. MUUUUUAAAHHH

There are two sleep cycle; NREM(Non Rapid Eye Movement) and REM(Rapid Eye Movement). We dream during REM sleep.
Sleep walking happens during NREM sleep.

So I think the reason is that he hasn't REM sleep. His eyes don't move during sleep. But I'm not sure.

Actually, dreamers sleep better... I think that's when they're in REM stage the most--which is the deepest sleep cycle.
