Absolutely YES, but unfortunately for Australia, he will be out of the game.
He has been one of the best performers of the Team. I consider this a big limitation for Australia, and the substitutions may not be at the same level.
Viduka and Kewell are forwards, and they have nothing to do with Emerton position on the field... actually they will most likely have more problems with the amount of balls they will play.
The previous answerer forgot that they play with one of the strongest defense in the world (Buffon, Cannavaro, Nesta, Zambrotta, Grosso, Materazzi): Italy allowed only 1 goal in the previous 3 games (own-goal Zaccardo).
