The bill provides for granting illegals access to Social Security benefits while said illegals were working in the US illegally.
I do not think that these illegals who so respected our border will universally respect this bills intent. I think these illegals will defraud the US Taxpayer by claiming additional money earned, while they were here undocumented and illegally.

Oh and historical note, California belonged to Mexico for 22 years before the people of California revolted against the Mexican Governor and soon thereafter joined the United States.

Califonia has been in the union since 1846 and still retains the right to seperate from the union as does Texas, and several other states.

The half of this "can of worms" has not been revealed. Not only do illegals grab many benefits but they also apply for Medicaid and Medicare! Many work under false names/social security numbers and the REAL citizens get income tax notices for back taxes! One lady had taken care of her children since 2000 and IRS wanted over $15,000 for back taxes on money she had not seen nor earned in three states! Recently 20 illegals were captured and some nitwit at Immigration told police to "Release them!" Police should have ignored such a STUPID reply as a garbled transmission...faulty fax...faulty brain in faxer, etc. Immigration Service is a haven for nitwits, loafers, and incompetents seeking an easy paycheck for sloth. Thousands of businesses could be fined for knowingly hiring illegals and fine money could be applied to "Dropping them off in Chiapas". Instead 3 or 4 got fines, the apprehanders need to be the survivors of a "mass firing". Whoever is supposed to be watching INS goof off should likewise be tossed into a van without seats a-la Billy Dale Travel Office style...and taken to the gate, told to "So Sue us!" Hillary Clinton style!

If people want to become Americans, we should give them an easy path to do so as long as they're willing to work hard, pay taxes and assimilate into our culture. I think we need really easy routes to earning greencards and working in the country legally. Just setting up something like that would ease a lot of the illegal immigration woes.

Quite frankly, yes. If we keep giving amnesty, jobs, and social services to people who are here illegally and we will never get rid of the problem. Many of these people are committing felonies by falsifying documents and stealing SS#s. We have to get tough with these lawbreakers, and the Senate immigration bill is way too lax. What kind of message does it send to the immigrants who followed the law?

Of course it is and why was it written that way by Congress , when they know over 80 % of the American People don't want it . They aren't listening to us , are they ? What can we do to make them pay attention to us . Like I've said before , even through they work for the American People , they are working against us . WHY ? Ask your Congressman today . It doesn't do any good to complain about it . We have to have a call to action!!!!

Wanna stop illegal immigrants from coming to the US? Crack down on employers. The Republicans won't have that because they've been bought by business.

OBSCENE COWARDS SELLOUTS.

The US is the tit on which too many mouths are epoxy-glued.

Too late to change anything anyway.

This is so "Fall of The Roman Empire".

I could shriek, (and I'm a male).
