I can't cite a study on this (I doubt if there's ever been one) but I think common sense would say that those people would have more psychological problems. Part of being an adult is learning to control yourself -- nudists demonstrate a complete lack of inhibitions when inhibitions are actually healthy.

I would guess that they don't have any more psychological problems than anybody else would.

However, what I do think is that nudists are more open and honest with one another. I knew a guy who liked to go to nudist volleyball camps. I'm not to sure about how that would feel in the sand.. but anyway... he was a little nutty - so people thought. But I liked him because of this nuttiness. As soon as I took the time to get to know him.. I actually thought that I and most of othe world were the nutty ones. His views on life and society were quite interesting.. and made a ton of sense!

So they are more likely to say what's on their mind. It may seem like they have more problems, when all they're doing is getting it off their chest *no pun intended - but that was kinda neat! lol*

Whereas people that live in a 'normal' society with clothes on are more reserved.. hold it in.. bottle it up.. Personally, I think that these people (you and I) would be the ones with the greater psychological problems.

Good question. I like it.

Having less psychological problems? I do not think so. You check in with your problems, get nude and your problems remain with you. Too many of us go to" our nude camps" regularly. The" happy hour" at the local bar is our camp. When the friends are gone and the alcohol effect has decreased, our psychological problems keep us company again. We look for ways to have a happy life but unfortunately we look at the wrong place.

Because they have less close you think they have less problems??? lol

They're still people with the same thoughts and worries as everyone else.

The only different thing is the way they choose to relax. Some people absolutely cannot tolerate clothing and others don't see the necessity of having clothes on all the time.

Personally, seeing naked people all day long would certainly curb my erotic thoughts in a hurry.

Our outward expression has been always regulated by social norms.. Therefore it's in direct contradiction with what we've grown to practice and believe, so the few that don't abide by these rules end up whachos because they violated their own conscience... - that's true about the modern society.. there's tribes in the virgin lands where people don't cover themselves, but that is an acceptable norm for that community... so I don't think they are all looney, except maybe for the voodoo- doctor... ha! But if you grew up in the modern society you will violate your conscience if you deviate from it, and you will end up a little off/ or a lot, and even if your conscience might not condemn you, the people who judge you will help quite a bit with that, cuz if you label someone crazy, they will eventually get there... yet, nobody is completely normal, hmmm... R U? :) confused you already???

For sure, they have less to wear. Nudists are a mixed bag, some are exibitionsts who love showing off, some are health nuts, etc

Don't think they have fewer psychological problems than other people, just different ones.

The nude body is beautiful. If adults enjoy hanging out on a beach naked, that is their business. As long as children and anyone under eighteen is kept away and doesn't see it, it is fine. From my experience, they are perfectly fine and mostly gay men. Women simply don't take a huge interest in this sort of thing. Europeans and Australians are way ahead in terms of their attitudes towards sex. It is not a big deal to them to see a nude statue. In France, women go topless on the beach. Believe it or not, but in the sixties, you could go swimming topless in Morocco on the beaches.

If I could, I will go running to a nude- camp. I think that all kind of people live there. And sure that they are not crazy. They should be pacific, wide-minded lovely people.

I think they have less psychological problems with the way their body looks, about not having as nice of clothes as their friends. About the rest of the psychological problems probably about the same as the rest of us.
