I strongly suggest not trying to pull any kind of weight with just the bumper. Bumper strength varies greatly from truck to truck. If you are planning to tow a vehicle a short distance (or pull out a stuck vehicle), hood your cable/chain onto the frame...it is much stronger.

If it's a Step and Tow bumper I wouldn't pull more than 3000lbs

depends on what kind of truck... about 1500 lbs i think... better double check... if its a half ton

well.. what kind of truck? small, medium, large? SUV?

average would be 3500 pounds.
