Some good answers here, but to amplify a bit.
The short answer is "no."
A chopper is a bike from which all non-essential parts have been removed ... "chopped". The fenders are removed or curtailed, the bodywork and farings are removed, the seat is replaced with a minimalist seat. The frame may be chopped and modified. The tank may be replaced.
All this was done to get the weight of a stock Harley down so it could compete ... not their the Eurobikes (cause they just couldn't) but with each other. In the days before NO2 and Supercharging, the only way to improve performance in your garage was to fiddle with the power-weight ratio.
The current rage in choppers is largely due to media - the Biker Buildoff, the Tuttles (American Chopper), Build or Bust and other such programs have really brought the customized, stretched, and personalized bike to the national/world eye.
Beautiful machines.
But not a brand.

Ther is a shop in upstate New York called Orange County Choppers, and I'm sure that there are more all over the country, but NO, choppers are a style of motorcycle that is either built custom, from scratch, or it's what you wind up with when you modify and existing motorcycle.

No. Bikes are made into choppers. Changes are made to the front end, handle bars, wheels and sometimes frames and struts. When the bike is done right (custom) then it is a Chopper.

"Chopper" is not a brand.

A chopper is a motorcycle where all parts that is not absolutely necessary to make it run is "chopped" /removed.

A type of customizing that was originally performed to the heavier American motorcycles enabling them to keep up with the lighter eastern bikes being introduced to the american market at that time.

Check out the wikipedia definition of a Chopper at the link below.

It's not a bike brand, a chopper a type or style of bike.
It's the ones with the big wide handle bars where you lean back in your seat.

Chopers is the short form of American choppers. They a the one who make new bike models. Buy some basic parts, manufacture some parts like Chasis fuel tank, mud guards, etc., n assemble everything to make a new model bike. They do this in groups.

a chopper is a bike like mine,You get rid of the stock frame put your motor in a ridgid or [hardtail ] frame which means it has no shocks, extend the front end remove everything that isnt absolutely nesecerry to make it run, like the front fender, fron brake, throw away the electric start and battery use a magneto and kick start get rid of turn signals. In other words strip it down and clean it up.
