Most girls in junior high look like s**ty clowns...i hate it ...it irratates me so bad!!!!

That would depend on the amount of makeup. I think as long as the makeup as tastefully toned down and subtle, that a young girl should be able to wear if she will be on stage or taking pictures. Makeup should never be heavy on a young girl. Heavy makeup does have the clown affect. I certainly think that everyday makeup is inappropriate for a girl who has yet to reach high school.

I'm 18 years old and never once felt the need to wear makeup unless it was for a wedding, prom, etc. Hell, even at my prom I only had on lip gloss and mascara. The reason is because I am comfortable with my pretty face and it shouldn't be hidden behind a bunch of gunk, even if it's beautifully applied; it's false. Young kids wearing makeup see makeup as a symbol of adulthood and maturity, but like tampons and sex, that's mythical. I concur with your feelings about young girls wearing makeup. They should enjoy being so young. Besides, makeup brings pimples and if I last remember, that was my worst fear as a teen!

Well I'm 14 and i only wear a bit of mascara on the top lashes and a bit of lip gloss. I think it looks disgusting the way girls plaster themselves with makeup and look like clowns. I think its okay if you just wear a little whe your a teenager. And i think you shouldn't wear foundation until you NEED it.
13-14 mascara, lip gloss
15-17 mascara, lip gloss, maybe a bit of light eyeshadow
18 + you can start weraing makeup, like lipstick and eyeliner, but still not too heavy!
Makeup should enhance your natural beauty, not change you into someone else!
