I absolutely agree with that, 100%. I like to think of the quote in reference to trends or fads or things like that. People who get into stuff solely because everyone else does, or because it's "hip" or "the latest thing" or whatever need to seriously get a life of their own and become an individual with their own thoughts and ideas. I have NEVER in my life allowed society or even close peers to dictate what I like or do.

Sure I agree, for the most part. I think other people's opinions should be looked at with respect, and I think if a hundred people tell you not to jump off a bridge, then it's probably a good idea to pay attention. People do have some sense, and no matter how smart you are, a hundred people together are smarter than you are alone. But on the other hand, there are times when everybody else is wrong and you're right. . . you should just consider carefully before you come to that conclusion. You can't be a lemming, but you shouldn't be a rabid individualist either. Try to have balance.
