if I delete unneeded files and folders will that give me more memory?

my computer keeps freezing or saying system error.I have tons and tons of files I dont use PLEASE help me!!*o*

This will free up the hard drive space. If your computer keeps crashin, it might be due to the fact that you have too many programs running, you might have bunch of spy ware on your computer.
Get ad-aware and spywareblaster - google these. They are free and you should get both. Run them and you might be able to remove bunch of stuff you don;t need and the computer might start running faster. Also, you can try degragmenting the computer, also google it to see how its done.

If you have "used rarely" you probably don't need it, unless it's part of your operating system.If some files are games,and programs you never use delete them and it will speed up your computer.If your not sure about a deleted file,go to your "recycling bin and you can restore that file.
