Well, the main reason would be that evolution is a process that take thousands, if not millions, of years to accomplish. Also, because evolution works to allow an organism to compete for a resource better than another organism. At this point, we have no competition so the motivation for evolution is basically zero.

I also think that the main issue with global warming isn't going to be humans being unable to survive the temperatures so much as the environment is going to be destroyed so we'll have less animals and plants to eat.

Evolution is not done in a few years, or a decade, it takes long usually hundreds or thousands of years to evolve. It is pretty hard to evolve gills when you live in Florida and in only 10-20 years it will be under water.

The biggest threat about Global Warming is the climate change. The unprecedented hurricane season last year is only and indication of things to come.

If global warming happened naturally over thousands of yrs we would evolve. Global Warming is happening way too fast because of all those polluters. Almost every single scientist on earth believes that global warming is real, except for scientists that work for oil companies.

Global Warming is happening WAY faster than it should. Hence the reason why scientists are freaking out.

Evolution takes thousand/millions of years to happen. Gobal warming is happening in decades or even less.

I don't know how mankind would evolve to adapt to hurricanes, floods, drought, wildfires, disease-carrying mosquitos and loss of entire ecosystems.

We probably will, but many of us will die. All of us, since we are not evolved. The only hope is for our offspring to mutate.

If you believe in evolution, then I guess that is a plausible theory.
