I'm all for technology. I just feel we have enough gadgets and toys for a while. I think that with all that technology and engineering has given us in the material world, maybe put that type of effort and knowledge, skill and inventiveness ... into entities that rid us of mans true human misfortunes: Starvation, Disease, Lack of Ideological tollerance and so on.
I know there are many, who research many things ... but that only takes us as far as a Funded dollar will go. Researchers beg for more money to be able to "continue" but when the money's gone, research stops and a portion of humanity is left to suffer in some way.
Guess this is like saying, "Well, if they can put a man on the moon, why can't they ... ?!"

Human issues ARE being tackled, right now, and all over the place. You could probably find ways to help in your own community, or in the larger world, by searching online (using info transfered through a beam of optic light...)
