Depends on what part of which state. Im a fan of Michigan, and I kinda hate driving in Indiana because the signs are different. I knoticed the further south you go in the US, the worse people get when having to drive in the snow, which is also a problem. I have been arrested for driving in conditions in the south where there were no more than 1 inch of snow on the ground, and those of you who are Michigan drivers must know I am proboly used to driving in up to 4 feet or more of snow.

In short, it all depends on where you are driving.

My dad would tell you Minnesota. He's from Massachsetts. The problem with this area is that there's a lot of transplants here who bring bad driving habbits from their various native states/areas. I've lived here all my driving life, so I can predict them pretty well. I do think that most places do have better drivers, though.

My vote is LA.
It's an odd mix of driving, eating in the car, cell phone conversations, drug-drunk driving, cleansing rituals (shaving, brushing teeth, combing hair), reading, sex, watching movies while driving, and road rage-road sedidation.

It's still only second to Italy though.
