simple minded book about making people feel bad for mentally handicapped people. another way of creating medical conditions to make excuses for people whose parents couldnt or didnt take care of their kids to become part of society. I mean why corrupt the minds of children with fictional crap like that. if it were a true story i might have felt bad. definately NOT a book for an emotional impressionable kid to read. big lummoxes like lenny used to get jobs shoveling coal , farming, etc. even with the mouse in their pocket. theyre too simple n innocent to care about women so let them live in their fantasy.
Children should be shielded from reading this. there are SO many more things in this world to learn.
BTW the book sucked

Use this as a guide...
Of Mice and Men focuses on the most important of human relationships: between a man and his best friend. In this case, however, the relationship is atypical, since Lennie is a large man with a child's mind and his friend George seems both fiercely angry and protective.
Steinbeck describes George and Lennie's journeys, often revealing how the simple-minded are abused in society. Dialogue is entertaining and thought-provoking, as the reader is invited back to childhood by Lennie. Of Mice and Men entertains the child within while wrenching the hearts of those who have faced life's cruelties. The reader must be warned about the language - it harshly expresses the anger of the world.
This novel is perfect for anyone who wants to become more educated about the many types of writings that are timeless. Of Mice and Men is also a good choice for one who needs to be reminded of life's simple pleasures. Sometimes it is just nice to stop and pat the bunnies.

Well, I would recommend the book because it tells about the hardships that people suffered during that time of the Great Depression. It shows how during hard times people's nature's tend to go into independence and how poeple only think about themselves. Except that this may be different between Carl and Lennie because Carl always stands up for Lenny. It shows that love can go throguh anyhting and survive the general ongoing trend. But it also shows about pressure and how poeple tend to do what others THINK is best, like when Carl shot Lennie. Well, this is my opinion.

The book is well written. Although the ending is a tear jerker, you will think about the book and some symbolisms of life long after you have finished reading. It is very short book that gets right to the drama of Lennie's and Georges adventures.

i wouldn't recommend this book to anyone because in the end the simple-minded guy has to be killed. All the simple minded guy wanted was to get a farm and raise some rabbits. It's a sad book.
you will have to look up the guys name. it's been so long since i read the book.

Of Mice and Men is a great book to read if you like stories that are realistic. John Steinbeck weaves a tale of two runaways, with one not being able to support himself, ending in his death. All in all it is a very good book that you should read.

Didn't you read it? If you did then you should be able to figure it out! Think of what you liked (or disliked) about the story. What does the story tell you? (Think of Lenny and how he was persecuted.) Sorry hun, I won't do your homework for you but I can encourage you to find the answers for yourself. Good luck!
