The day of the week is irrelevent in "investing."

You imply that one day of the week is better than another. This should work about as well as using the length of women's skirts to "predict" the direction of the stock market, or who wins the Super Bowl

Consult your Ouija Board.

The day of the week is absolutely irrelevant when making any rational investment decision. However, Monday's will have more volume and volitility as the market needs to adjust to 3 days worth of new news, where on Friday's, traders generally take half days and the market only has 1 days worth of information to absorb.

During 2006 the best day would have been Tuesday with an accumulated total drop of 439.85 points in the Dow industrials.
Next would have been Mondays with an accumulated total drop of 122.14 points. Third would have been Thursday with a 115.89 point drop. Fourth would have been Wednesdays with a 70.75 point rise in the Dow. And last would have been Fridays with a 73.07 point rise in the Dow. That of course assumes that you want to buy stocks when they would have been less expensive and not buy them while they were rising in price. So based on a little less than 6 months worth of data, buy on Tuesday and sell on Wednesday. Buy on Thursday and sell on Friday. Do not buy on Monday. Wait until Tuesday.

Investment for long term is not affected by any day if strong stocks are selected. However for speculators mondays are dangerous as effect fo fridays trade are felt on monday. so those who have money locked in will suffer..however long term investors do not worry about these hiccups.

If you are investing for the long run -- it doesn't really matter.

If you are investing in bonds, then Friday is better -- so you can get the extra days of interest.
