Is this a glitch or is this person hiding? Myself I see no reason to hide, (especially on here) so why can't I reply to his email? (He emailed me in response to an answer I gave earlier today.)

Most Answerers have already opted for the Yahoo! Answers Messager - through which other Answerers can privately contact them. The Messager link [in blue] can be found on the concerned Answerer's Yahoo! Answers home page - by clicking on which the message box will open.
Even Members who have not opted for this facility, because they prefer to remain inaccessible (!), can contact Members who have a Messager. But one cannot privately reply to them - unless and until, they ask Yahoo! Answers for the Messager facility [by clicking on the 'Help' button at the top of each page and following the instructions on this subject], and also confirming their personal e-mail ID to which the messages are to be forwarded.
...Seems like your friend does not have a Messager link : This way he/she can privately contact you, but you cannot !

Maybe the email is blank because he knows prisoners are allowed to have Computers.
My email is also blank. I just don't think it needs to go beyond this format. Some people on here have an agenda, and it isn't exactly for the good of humanity.
Maybe he is a one-way dope.
