In Canada, definitely as 'accepted' as the next couple, although I'm not certain I understand the question completely.

What does it mean to be "legally accepted in public"?

I don't understand what you mean by "legally" accepted in the public. You can't get arrested or in trouble for being bisexual.

I don't think that bisexuals are often fully accepted into the lesbian community because a lot of lesbians don't want to get involved with a bisexual.

Nope. The gay and lesbian contingent feel they're not being truthful and trying to play both sides of the field and straight people don't want to admit that they could be attracted to both sexes. It's all very narrow thinking. It's either you are straight or you're gay, and both communities have little tolerance for any differences -- don't believe the hype from the gay community because they are distrustful of bisexuals and believe bis are not helping their cause but making it worse.

What do you mean "legally"? Bisexuality is not a crime, so bisexuals are legally okay, and it's discrimination if you won't let a person stay in a public place just because they're bisexual.

this will depend where are talking about, if its a place that do not recognise civil unions, then even bisexuals will be treated as pariah (just like how other gays and lesbians are treated in that place" they wil enjoy no legal benefits from it. its not even recognised by the law.... in fact, it may be illegal

if its a place that recognises civil partnership on the other hand, they will get the same legal rights as the gays and lesbians who are in such kinds of partnerships.... no one will be discriminated against (almost no one anyway...)

hope this helps :)

If you hang out at gay bars and gay churches and such, it's perfectly acceptable. Depending on where you live, you may have to curb the PDAs in the general public.
