Health care providers and midwives do not recommend douching as the healthiest and safest way to routinely clean the vagina. Douching changes the delicate chemical balance in the vagina (and the vaginal flora), which can make a woman more prone to bacterial infections and may introduce new bacteria into the vagina and cervix. It also can spread existing vaginal or cervical infections up into the pelvic organs (uterus, fallopian tubes, and ovaries).
Research shows that women who douch on a regular (routine) basis actually tend to develop an increased amount of vaginal irritations and infections, called bacterial vaginosis (BV), and sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) than women who do not douche or who rarely douche. These women also develop more cases of pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) at an increased risk of 73% as compared to an estimated cumulative PID incidence of 10% in women up to 45 years of age. Women who douche at least once a week have a risk increased by about four times those who do not douche. PID is a chronic infectious disease affecting the woman's pelvic organs which include the cervix, uterus, fallopian tubes, and ovaries. Sexually transmitted bacteria traveling from the woman's vagina and cervix into the uterus and other pelvic organs usually cause PID. If left untreated, PID can lead to infertility (not being able to get pregnant) and ectopic pregnancy (pregnancy in the fallopian tubes instead of the uterus). Both BV and PID may lead to serious problems during pregnancy, such as infection in the baby, problems with labor, and preterm (early) delivery.
*LOL*waxing is a matter of choice, does it hurt, you bet it does, it's best to have someone else do it for you if you can, you wont have the dexterity to do both the pulling of the strip and holding your skin tightly, at the same time,
I does last longer then shaving about 4-6 wks and you wont feel stubble the next day, again its a matter of choice, pain,, but worry free for x amount of time, or no pain and the pain of shaving all the time, *PS* it gets less painfull the more you wax as the hair gets finer and finer.

Well most Gynos say its better not to douche because you will wash away alot of the good bacteria that help keep your Nether Regions healthy. You can push the douch solution up into your uterus causing a nasty infection therefore it is better not to douche. In my personal opinion I dont think its so bad to douche once in a while I do it 4 times a month but never while on your period and in the past 6 years ive been douching ive never gotten an infection but every woman is different so take your time and make your own educated decision and do whats comfortable with you. On the topic of waxing our Vulvas it is the better but very painful way. Ladies I'm not gonna lie it hurts like hell but you will benefit because if you notice when you are bare down there you dont smaell as raunchy as you usually would if you had a big ol'bushy bush down there,in my personal opinion its cleaner because hair collects bacteria which in turn cause odour, men will have more interest in eating you out because it looks and smells 100 times better. After about 5 Brazilian Waxes (waxing your pubic hair) you will be used to the sensation of having your Kitty Hair ripped out. Good Luck and Godspeed to those who dare to try.

Douching is not recommended at all, even once a month as it disrupts the natural healthy bacteria and fungi in your system, leading to infections. Just keep yourself clean by washing with a non-soap wash every time you bathe.
As for waxing, it is painful, but a great result. I would recommend you have it professionally done. it does greatly reduce the need to shave.

There is really no need for a douche unless u want to have sex on ur period but excessive douching is bad for the vagina. As for the waxing it is very painful but if ur un happy with ur body i suggest u do it.

douching monthly is not recommended because when you douch you kill the normal flora in the vagina and the normal flora is what keeps you from developing infections. douching once every 3-4 months is acceptable but not every month.
and as for the waxing, oh, boy is it worth it I personally like my brazillian wax so does my husband!!!!

well, I think that nature is the best cleanser for a women. I am not a nature freak or anything but douching just seems abnormal to me. as far as waxing. never tried it. seems kind of scary. I think I will stick to shaving.

I only do it after my period, if you do it to much, you throw off your chemical balance in the vagina, and can get a yeast infection. I think once a month is safe, and i usually do not have any problems after i do.
Very painful, but, i think that it is worth it. You do not have to worry about razor burn, which hurt a hell of a lot more than waxing. It is over and done in 1 min, i promise. :)

Don't douch. Waxing doesn't hurt that bad. But I also like to use a hair remover like Veet or Nair. Works fabulously.

I say waxing. Just my preference though. I don't think waxing is very painful. You get used to it..... Although I do have a high pain tolerance. If your afraid of the pain just try a little strip to see if it is right for you.
