If I uninstal IE, where will I type the web address?

You can have both. You can then try it out and decide which one you want to use as your default browser. It will prompt you for that when you first start it. You don't have to make it your default browser, though. You can decide that at any point.

Both browsers have a location bar where you can type a web address.

You do not need to uninstall IE to download firefox.You can have both at a time.I myself use both at a time.

you cannot unistall IE, but you can use as many broseres as you want, like firefox, netscape, opera, etc
