i was told by someone who I trust a lot since we were youngers, from some distant prophecy that if you spit at a pigeon anywhere in England or Scotland it will bring you good luck. Ever heard of that ?

No I dont think thats true, however it is supposed to bring you good luck if the pigeon poops on u!
Personally I woudnt want pigeon poop on me for all the good luck in the world!

If a pigeon shits on you it's supposed to be good luck, but spitting at a pigeon?, never heard that one. Though I know which one I'd rather do.
By the way, I'm English. So maybe it's a Scottish thing.

I think he meant you need to spit on the queen or some other royal figure.It will bring immediate good luck and ease of life to you.
