If you have ruled out things like rosecea, dermititis and eczema first and foremost, then look at what you are doing to your skin. Depending on the shape of this it could be too, mylar rash, symptomatic of lupus. Does it have a butterfly shape? If none of these seem to be your problem, you can reduce the redness with by using a hydroxy acid moisturizer at night before going to bed, but follow up in the morning with a sunscreen of SPF-15 to protect the new skin. While putting on makeup use a green based concealer cream to the red areas only. Green counteracts redness. Apply foundation (Geesh I am thinking you are female here, if not disregard this part), with a sponge to blend. Flawless results.
Most people do not know if they use these acid based moisturizers to renew skin that they need a sunscreen lotion to protect this new skin. This regiment should reduce the redness in a few weeks.

You may be getting eczema, or it could just be where your skin has gotten irritated. My daughter has eczema, and the dr. told me to put hydrocortisone cream on it whenever it flairs up (gets red)...you just put it on there when it is red looking...no more than 4 times a day though...it could mess the pgiments in your skin up.
So I would maybe try some hydrocortisone cream.
Good Luck! :o)

Physician Formula makeup will cover the red nicely -keep any products with fragrance off your skin (soaps, moisturizers, etc.).
Use only products labeled for sensitive skin.

I liked Purpose bar soap for sensitive skin. But you should probably see a dermatologist. Rosacea, eczema, poison oak... !!
