Look at the things to do in a different perspective. There's got to be something to do. Rent a movie. Play cards. Something legal though.

This is a question I have ask many times and answered many more. If you live in the big city there is almost always an open pool hall or bowling alley. When I was younger and times were less violent I would go down to Fountain Square ( The center of Cincinnati)and watch the night owls. When I was living in Tennessee I would go fishing or swimming in one of the many swimming holes around town.Sometimes a few of us would build a bon fire and sit around telling each other stories of which I assume were mostly tall tales as one might say.Everyone once and a while we would take rides out in the country to pass the time.Sometimes we would just go find us a nice steep hillside and do some target shooting with bows or rifles depending on what we felt like shooting. Then there is always that favorite pastime of the American male where you go cruising around looking for females. There is always something to do if you keep an open mind and never say that sucks unless you have done it and know it sucks. Then again sometimes things are fun with some people and not with others. As long as you are with friends you should have a good time.

Well, "nothing" is often not quite nothing. Try to look at the town as though you're a tourist and you just arrived, curious to see what the town is all about. Maybe there are places you haven't paid much attention to even though you've driven by a hundred times. A museum, a restaurant, a skating rink, a small outdoor concert area, a weekend street market, a university presentation, or even just a visit to the local library.
If all else fails, head over to the next town and see what's kickin' over there. ;)

When I was in high school I lived in a very small town. The town and the school district didn't do anything for the teens to give them a healthy outlet, or some good clean fun, so must of us started trying drugs. I am not recomending this at all. I just think that small town, USA needs to be doing something about this.

Actually, you can sit in a rocker on the veranda, with a glass of mint juleps or sweet tea and watch the traffic go by.
