I need a free website where I can information about criminal backrounds and prison reports for Illinois.

Check out the Illinois Department of Corrections website. I know in MN there is a link to the BCA on the DOC website. You only have to pay for it if you print it out.
I just tried to get into the Illinois DOC, it is restricted. Sorry and good luck!

If it for yourself you can go to your local police office and ask for one. It will take a few days and it is free(at least in British Columbia, Canada).
