mp3's are music downloads, normally cd quality music files at that. when i move music off of cd's to my computer, they are mp3's. so if you dont want mp3's youre really limited (i dont know any program specifically for other files) however if you misunderstood mp3's you could try a variety of programs. from torrents to limewire etc.
if you absolutely dont want mp3's the only free way i can think of (other then taking forever via download programs) would be to get a stereo and a set of blank tapes and trying to get lucky.

limewire is free remember to go for basic download not the pro if you want pro you will have to get your head round bit-torrent easy when you figger it out dirty d is talking pish i have been through the script in limewire there is no harmfuil bugs nada.
