There are millions of possible lies, but only one truth. Lies can be dressed up and look beautiful and exciting. The truth is just there, in its everyday clothing, maybe a little boring, maybe a bit ugly. But if you can learn to recognize truth, you'll be a better and happier person.

I don't know that people necessarily prefer to believe lies. I think many people just want easy answers. Also, I think, a lot of people would rather hear things that match what they want to believe rather than deal with a distasteful truth.

It is what they've been taught all their lives. Just look at what people believe is truth about Abraham Lincoln. It is what they were taught. Some people don't know the truth, but nor do some want to hear it. The truth is sometimes hard to swallow.

they probably dont want to face the actual truth. Lies dont make them worry(dumb). or its that they cant see past the lies and end up thinking that its the truth..and by peer influence...the 'truth' spreads around.
