What is my next step if there are no universities around here that offer it? Do online Universities stack up to physically attending?

I don't think you can get an Engineering degree on line. I can't imagine anyone wanting to, it'd be kinda like a joke. You have to take all kinds of Math, Chemistry, Physics courses, ALOT of them. I'm on the Architectural Engineering path and it's 5 years @ 17 &18 credit hour per semester. If you want it you'll have to go where they offer it. My first 2 years are at the local University, then the last 3 will be at the State University. It's a BIG commitment, and it ain't easy, but if you can do it, it's BIG $$$ in the end.

For engineering studies, you need to attend classes. If you are strong in math, you can get away with taking your math classes online but for the labs and everything, you need to attend class.
