I've taken a loan out from Lex Luthor. I'm going to freeze the entire earth to be my skating rink.

i doubt that it would even occur to flatlanders that the earth might be round. and the ones who set out to prove it would likely never come back. time to fund a new field trip, RES members. maybe they could sell miniature globes...

"if" it were, would there be a round earth society? well....the Oblate Spheriod Earth has a Flat Earth Society, so I see no reason why the other would not be at least possible.
