A US warship prepared to shoot down a mock warhead of a medium-range missile over the Pacific Wednesday in the latest of a series of tests of a sea-based missile defense system, a spokesman said.

Do you think it is ok for us but not okay for everyone else. If so, why?

The Pacific is a big place so it all depends where you are testing your missile and what you are aiming it at.

There is also a huge difference between a defensive missile and an offensive one.

Also think about it. If Korea launches its new missile in a provocative trajectory towards Japan, or another friendly country, what better excuse to shoot it down than having a warship in the area which is engaged in tests of shooting down missiles and just happens to zap that one.

It is this kind of diplomatic shadow boxing which prevents the world going to war.

It all depends on where the missile will be shot down. If it is shot down in the Korean border, then that is a declaration of war. Remember that they have nukes and they have nothing to lose. We got a huge economy, they don't. And I don't think US will shot down the missile, what a waste of money to shot down a missile that won't do any hard to other countries other than japan. And don't forget about pearl harbor, don't help them.
