I think I was expecting more about the voyage and actual event than a love story. That part was sort of cheesy at times. But, when they got to the iceberg and things starts happening it becomes a gripping story of courage and grace and strength. We always ask ourselves in hindsight how did this or that happen and to see an reinactment of so many unnecessarily lost lives was so wrenching because it really happened. There isn't so much obvious blame. Some people did the right thing - some panicked and some acted like lowlife - just like what happens all the time.

My daughter was just born when it came out and i remember thinking how hard it would have been to leave with the other women and children and hope that her father meets up with us. I think I decided there in the theatre if we were ever in such peril we would all stay together. Plus my husband is smart when it comes to survival, I'd much rather take my chances that he will know how to keep us safe and together rather than split up and hope for the best.

It was okay. The love story wasn't so sad to me. Things that made me cry were the woman who was reading a story to her kids while she knew the boat was sinking.

Talk about grace under pressure.
